The only way one can reveal another man to his own riches is through listening to him. As human beings we have this undying need to feel heard and understood. To bring someone the answers they so desire we must forget about all the advice we could offer up in the moment and just listen carefully and sympathetically. Remain present and keep the conversation focused on them. Be interested in what they are telling you by asking meaningful questions...sometimes all one needs is some loving ears to listen and they will discover their own solutions and advice in their own time. After all we know deep down what it is that needs to be done we just need to know we will be supported whilst we do it.
